The Huffington Post has a rapidly growing audience of 27+ million monthly unique visitors and nearly 300 million monthly page views.
THE ROLE: ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
The Account Executive opening is part of a significant expansion of advertising sales at The Huffington Post.
Account Executives will be focused on:
• Proactively prospect, qualify, grow, and maintain an account list while meeting quarterly and annual revenue goals
• Helping to develop sales strategies, respond to RFPs and generate proposals that meet the objectives of both the advertiser and the business
• Engaging and strategizing with agencies to determine their business needs and formulate ad sales programs
• Proactively communicating account forecasts and sales information to sales management
• Assuming campaign ownership to ensure full delivery and proper pacing of advertising campaign
Account Executives will also be charged with organizing and communicating a broad range of sales intelligence, using the latest tools for such efforts including salesforce.com, Doubleclick DART for Sales Managers (DSM) and more.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Targeted of 2-3 years digital media sales experience which includes selling branded display
• Proven track record of selling and superior customer service
• High energy self-starter with entrepreneurial ability to find and develop new business
• Knowledge and understanding of sales processes, tools and technology specific to the interactive advertising business
• Sharp, detail-oriented, thorough and assertive
• Excellent communication, analytical, time management and presentation skills
• Show a high degree of self-motivation and work well both as an individual and within a team environment
• Diligent work ethic, dependable, and ethical.
• Desire to work in a start-up environment where there is constant change and limited resources
• Bachelor’s Degree
